Visiting Holly's is like doing the time warp to a glorious past. Wonderful comfort food, served with class. Fried bologna sandwich for dinner? Why the heck not?! Amazing cocktails. Wonderful people. All at a fair price. We absolutely love this place!

Holly’s is one of Charlottesville’s absolute gems, and one of the reasons I’ve been excited to move here. The staff is extremely personable and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The food is all made from scratch and it shows. I’ve had almost all the burgers and they’re all phenomenal. The fish tacos are absolutely delicious and some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere, period. Trust me on the Brussels sprouts, they’ll win you over even if you’ve had brassica-related childhood trauma. And lastly, the bread pudding is *transcendent*. I know this seems like an overstatement but believe me, it really is. 10/10, can’t wait to come back again and again! Edit, 10/2022: after a hiatus, the bread pudding is back, and it’s as tear-jerking as it’s always been.

Great food, good service. Definitely recommend. Street parking, though not difficult to find. Food cooked fresh, very good, a hidden gem. Mixed drinks were good, great happy hour specials. Burger seemed to be hand patted, great flavor. French fries where good. Meatloaf was very good, mashed potatoes, and roasted brussel sprouts. Fish tacos had a great flavor, crispy and fresh. The slaw was good, as was the homemade pico. The Ruben sandwich was also one of the best. Add to the food, they often have special effects such as live music, and this becomes as great night out.

The night we went to Holly’s Diner they were down a cook and working as hard as they could to keep up. Our meals took much longer than they should have but the waitress and owner apologized profusely and they made up for it by not charging us for an item. The food was delicious, as always, and we appreciated how they handled the snafu in their kitchen.

Holly’s is a must if you are trying to get away to a fun local’s spot in Charlottesville. We wanted to get away from the crowded Main Street restaurants and headed to Holly’s. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. Good music, board games, cold drinks, and great burgers. And, do not leave until you’ve had the homemade pickles.

I love the meals I enjoy at game night! The menu is always comforting and refreshing. The staff are wonderful individuals that truly succeed providing a high volume, yet classy bar/diner experience. The margaritas are done well and the fries are so lovely.

Delicious and affordable with a good drink list. I got the burrito and my wife got the bologna sandwich. Both were done right. Good little home town bar (with actually good food) feel.
